This class gives athletes the opportunity to develop trampoline skills in a fun and controlled environment, while improving spatial awareness and body control. This is a progressive skill based program to build confidence, improve coordination and practice proper technique.
Athletes will learn how to position their body correctly while airborne, control their jump height and perfect their landing technique. Specific manoeuvers taught include basic straight jumps, seat drops, pike jumps, straddle jumps, back drops and more complex skills with rotations, including combinations of forward or backward flips and twists.
Trampoline coaches will work with each athlete to ensure that everyone progresses at their own pace. Precise technique and body control must be demonstrated before moving on to the next degree of difficulty.
This class is ideal for:
- Those who would like to develop basic movement skills, coordination and body awareness
- Tumblers who are working on more advanced skills, like back/front tucks, layouts, or twisting elements
- Stunt actors or circus artists wanting to learn some high-flying skills
