This class introduces athletes to the most important body position in gymnastics, cheerleading and circus: the handstand. A huge focus is placed on proper technique, core and upper body strengthening and the correct alignment required to perform a variety of handstands.
Athletes also learn counterbalancing techniques and how to exit a handstand in all directions safely. The finer details such as where to look and what each part of the body should be doing will be addressed as well.
